Tell us What Needs to Move
Use the final packed weight and dimensions wherever possible. Accurate shipment details help us compare available services and explain what the estimate includes.
Your Shipment Details
A useful quote, not just a number
We don't look at the price in isolation. We look at what needs to move, where it needs to go and what it requires along the way.
Frequently asked questions
What affects the shipment price?
Price depends on origin, destination, service mode, actual or volumetric weight, commodity, packing, urgency and the services required at each end. Remote-area, special-handling and customs-related charges may also apply.
What is volumetric weight?
Volumetric weight converts the space a packed shipment occupies into a chargeable weight using the carrier or freight formula. The greater applicable actual or volumetric weight is normally used, so final length, width and height matter.
Are duties and taxes included?
Not unless the quote expressly says so. Customs duty, tax, inspection and clearance costs are assessed according to commodity, value, origin, destination and agreed delivery terms, and may be payable by the sender or receiver.
How long is a quote valid?
The validity period is stated in the response. Courier tariffs, fuel adjustments, airline capacity, ocean rates and currency conditions can change, so a quote should be reconfirmed if shipment details or the dispatch date changes.
What information do I need to provide for a quote?
Origin, destination, shipment type, approximate weight, dimensions, contents, value and preferred delivery timeline help us assess the available options.
Can I request a quote for international shipments?
Yes. TCSL can review international courier, air freight and sea freight requirements based on the shipment, destination and service needed.
Can I ship personal parcels as well as business shipments?
Yes. The appropriate service depends on the contents, destination, shipment size and applicable regulations.
Can you ship food items, medicines or other restricted items?
Some commodities may be subject to destination-country restrictions, documentation or special handling requirements. Share the details with us so we can review the applicable requirements before shipping.
Do you handle both courier and freight shipments?
Yes. Depending on the shipment, TCSL can review courier, air freight and sea freight options and recommend a suitable service.
What happens after I request a quote?
We review the shipment details, assess the available options and provide the relevant pricing, assumptions, documentation requirements and next steps.
Can TCSL help if I don't know which service I need?
Yes. You don't need to know whether your shipment requires courier, air freight or sea freight before requesting a quote. Tell us what you're shipping, where it is going and the approximate shipment details, and we'll help identify the appropriate options.
